Yes. I too do find the resemblance quite freaky. One wonders if this is going to be Bollywood’s latest ‘get-famous-quick’ mantra; ape a superstar and too with a capital R. But then again, nothing ever really beats an original.
The advantage of having a set top box is the choice available to the viewer of not only multiple movie channels, but also , thanks to Zee network, various categories of movie channels e.g. Zee Premier , Zee cinema , Zee Classics. Indeed the viewer is really and truly spoilt for choice !
Watching Zee Network’s different movie channels last week I was fascinated with the evolution of the heroine’s crowning glory over the years in Bollywood movies ( a trait which I share with members of my sex, and one that is totally alien to men!).
Indeed we have come a long way since the time when one important physical asset of the Indian woman was her long and lustrous thick black hair- the heroine (of movies of 40s & 50s) would be portrayed as the true Bharatiya Nari sporting a long and thick plait (which would have put fairy tale character Rapunzel of long locks fame to shame!).

Move over politicos, stock markets and temperatures…the queen of the media makes news again!
After another day spent panicking over the state of ‘the common man’ following the antics of our local politico-goons, Mumbai really must be back to normal if the news is any indication. Let’s check out what India TV thinks is big news today.
Rakhi Sawant slaps her boyfriend!!!
This comes on the heels of the very well-covered incident where Rakhi Sawant threw her boyfriend Abhishek Awasti out of their house and cried “BREAK-UP!”. I didn’t catch that on TV since everyone else was hogging the box for such mundane things as rioting, violence on the streets and politicians getting arrested. Fikar not, Rakhi gives me my time’s worth with today’s lunch news though.

Okay, don’t get me wrong here – this is not a Shah Rukh Khan bashing post. But seriously yaar, you cannot ignore the canny resemblance the two superstars share. The minute Shah Rukh appeared on the television screen during the India against Pakistan T20 Finals, the scary image of Michael Jackson flashed in our (me and my gang) minds. The hair, the face, the sunglasses, the entire package (with the exception of skin shade) - makes one wonder, are they brothers from different mothers? [By the way, would like to thank my dear friend Melody for the awesome SRK-Jackson picture job]

From the very start, I totally adored Lara Dutta. Not so much for her acting skills but mostly for the whole “attitude†package she carried with herself and to say, she looked ravishing on the big screen is like stating it really mildly. On the other hand, Katrina Kaif was just another pretty face in Bollywood to me. Drop-dead-gorgeous, no doubt! But can the woman act, I certainly didn’t think so. However she turned out to be a surprise package for (most of) her critics; with every film, Ms. Kaif only keeps getting better.
Watching two of my favorite Bollywood ladies together, chatting up with one of the bitchiest host on Indian Tele – in many ways, was a perfect end to a otherwise dull Sunday evening for me.
