Of all the people made happy by Sanjaya Malakar’s departure – and yes, I’m looking at you and your big fat grin, Simon Cowell – the happiest is, I think, Sanjaya himself. If he isn’t, then he should be.

I’ve said for a while now that the show was sapping whatever talent he had, pushing him to make a bigger spectacle of himself each week because plain singing just wasn’t enough in his case. In the process, he got some of the hardest-earned stage confidence that I’ve ever seen and that’s the one positive thing he can take with him from American Idol. Once the crushing weight of the show was off his back, he immediately relaxed into a much more confident and less desperate performer – the evidence is right there for you to see in his farewell performance.

House M.D is a medical drama, produced by Bryan Singer (of Usual Suspects, X-Men and Superman Returns fame) originally aired on Fox. It has also been in syndication around the world in various networks. In India, AXN airs the show, although given the situation that surrounds AXN in India, it will be a while before one can actually catch it on the telly. Before getting banned, AXN-India was airing the second season. So, for those who haven’t watched it yet, they might want to catch up with the DVD of the first season and of course, read this post to get an idea of the show!

FASHION HOUSE is a saga of the glamorous and shiny world that fashion industry is (perceived to be). The catwalks and the catfights is what the storyline is all about, but sadly it does not get as exciting as it sounds.

The show stars Bo Derek, the hollywood sex symbol of yester years as ruthless fashion icon Maria Gianni and Morgan Fairchild, a veteran vixen of 1980s American TV, as Maria’s arch rival Sophia Blakely. Natalie Martinez stars as Michelle Miller, an innocent designer who goes on to become a personal and business rival of her ruthless ex-boss Maria. Taylor Kinney plays the role of painter Luke Gianni, son of Maria Gianni.

If like me you totally digged tele-series Charmed, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Smallville, The X Files and the likes – then I am cent percent sure that you would love Warner Brother’s recent creation Supernatural which is currently being aired on AXN India every Wednesday night at 10.00 pm.

To brief you up on the storyline:

Supernatural is basically a story revolving around two brother Dean (Jensen Ackles, the hottie from Days of Our Lives and Smallville) and Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki, not hot but a real cutie pie, previously seen in horror flick House of Wax) in their early twenties.

Like most siblings they have almost completely different personality traits and views of the world. At a very young age their mother, Mary was killed by a paranormal force sending their father on an obsessive pursuit to hunt down the killer.
