DesiDabba - Boss, Thoda Sa Roomani Ho Jaye

Well the above line pretty much sums up what I thought of director duo, Abbas-Mustan’s (so-called) ultra stylish thriller, Race.

Reasons as to why sexy Saifee’s Racee flick failed to impress me are plenty. But since I am pressed with time, I shall state only the top three. And then again I also believe in fairness and other such garb, so I will be starting off with the not-so-bad bits.

What could work:

1. Twisted story plot.

2. Plenty of skin show. Saif and Katrina look simply delicious.

3. Impressive choreography.

What doesn’t work (at least not for me):

1. Twisted (storyline) but not twisted enough.

2. (Have mentioned this time n time again) Akshay Khanna and his excessive hairy-beary chest. Yikkkeessss.

3. Anil Kapoor totally wasted with cheepad (sleazy) dialogues.

Overall Race isn’t really that pathetic, I mean I have heard a few people sing its praises. However it did fail to click with me and others who went along.

According to me and my dear friend, Race could have turned out to be a sure shot super-hit if only a minor change would have been incorporated in the storyline.

And here it is. (Close your eyes, spoilers ahead).

Akshay wants Saif dead for money. Saif wants Akshay dead because he hates traitors. Akshay hires Bipasha to do the do. Saif hires Bipasha to do the do. Katrina + Boobie cleavage + Raunchy dance number. For Bipasha money is honey, so goes ahead doing the do. Katrina + Boobie cleavage + Raunchy dance number.

Plot thickens.

Bipasha kill Saif? Bipasha kill Akshay?

Bipasha kills Saif. Bipasha kills Akshay. Enters Katrina. Bipasha + Katrina + 200 million dollars + Hot make-out session. The End.
