Koffee with Lara & Katrina: Hot or Whot!!

From the very start, I totally adored Lara Dutta. Not so much for her acting skills but mostly for the whole “attitude†package she carried with herself and to say, she looked ravishing on the big screen is like stating it really mildly. On the other hand, Katrina Kaif was just another pretty face in Bollywood to me. Drop-dead-gorgeous, no doubt! But can the woman act, I certainly didn’t think so. However she turned out to be a surprise package for (most of) her critics; with every film, Ms. Kaif only keeps getting better.
Watching two of my favorite Bollywood ladies together, chatting up with one of the bitchiest host on Indian Tele – in many ways, was a perfect end to a otherwise dull Sunday evening for me.
To make things clear here, I not saying that this particular episode was anything extra-ordinary like the one Karan had with motor-mouth Rakhi Sawant, all me saying that it was a lot more entertaining (than the last few episodes) and a lot more soothing for the watching eyes.
Both the ladies looked stunningly beautiful in their long dresses; the designer chhap was definitely there. And by god, the slits on the sides seemed to have no beginning but then again with shinny-toned legs like theirs – you would hear no complains. By far, Katrina and Lara were undoubtedly the best dressed ladies on Koffee with Karan’s second season.
Lara, just as in Season 1, was her bubbly self though some of her answers titled more on the cautious side…looks like she has finally learnt the Hindi Film Industry’s diplomatic ways. However what truly surprised me was her dig at the South Indian movies. Of course, it was all said not to be taken seriously however I am not sure if the folks down South would have found her mimicking skills all that amusing.
While for Sallu’s girlfriend, it was the first time to be seated on Bollywood’s most famous couch and she appeared to be very much at ease, maybe it was the Salman’s famous “Fear-Not” Biryani’s influence. Like most other heroines, she too conveniently dodged the “boyfriend†questions – I seriously wonder why, I mean the whole world knows that she is intimate with Salman but with a firangi accent like hers, one can even get away with murder.
The rapid-fire round was highly engaging, though I felt Katrina so deserved the Koffee hamper which was awarded to Lara instead. On the whole, the one hour featuring the dazzling ladies was fulltu-timepass and tons better than the likes of dull Madhuri Dixit, butt-licking Himesh Bhai and ultra-boring Saif Ali Khan.
Next Week – This episode is the definitely the highlight of the second season, here Karan would be brewing his Koffee with none other than Bollywood’s most talked-about couple, Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. And in true Juneja style, I can’t wait to rip them apart review the finale.
