If you thought Wars are only fought between onscreen superstars like Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan then think again – apna idiot box has its own share of battles. The highly publicized tussle obviously being none other than the, one time best-buddies and now sworn enemies, Ekta Kapoor and Sandiip Sikcand.

Mr. Sikcand left Star Network and Ekta for greener pastures at Sony Set Max but what can one do if luck backs those with power and high ranking. And Sandiip can help but bare the brunt of his misfortunes. Sony under the creative guidance of their recently appointed in-charge, Sandiip Sikcand launched with much fanfare three promising shows, Kaajjal Sabbki Aankhon Mein Basi, Durgesh Nandinii and Jeete Hain Jiske Liye (JHJL).

But barely couples of months into the new series, the channel’s bosses have decided to take all the three off air, thanks to poor TRP ratings. Sony has already given an ultimatum to these shows to wind up within the next 45 days.

However to some folks within the Television industry, there is much more to this than meets the eye.

Apparently because of Sandiip’s rivalry with Ekta Kapoor, Sony continues to remain deprived of Balaji Productions and their TRP gauging K-serials. Plus, even other shows that Sony introduced under directive from Sandiip have been performing very badly. And as a result of which, it is also rumored that the channel has done away with the man in question. Another talk doing rounds is that Sony officials held a secret meeting with Ms. Kapoor couple of days back where she bagged a heavy-loaded deal in her kitty. Her only condition being – Sandiip Sikcand to be kept out of her face.

But what is even more surprising is that inspite of so many major decision’s being taken, none of the producers of the shows being scraped are aware of their faith.

When contacted, all the producers denied this development. Kaacon Sethi, executive producer of Kaajjal said, "This is not true. I can’t believe that our show is going off-air." Sanjala Dewan, supervising producer of Durgesh Nandinii echoed the same, "We have not been informed by the channel regarding this development. I have nothing to say beyond that." Tony Singh, producer of Jeete Hain Jiske Liye refused to believe us too and said, "It’s for the channel to decide what they want to do with the shows. I can’t comment on the working of a channel."

All I can say is that Ekta Kapoor is one woman in the tele-business who surely knows how to eat her cake and have it to. And Sandiip, we wish you Good Luck cause dude you are definitely going to need it.
