What I hate more though, is the stifling of artistic integrity through unnecessary censorship. People need not watch such shows if they don't want to. The mere mention of a rape, or a scene of such brutality without showing unnecessarily the actual violence of it, is not something that should warrant censorship. In fact, if you are watching such a show with your children, it might be time to tenderly explain to them that such crimes exist. Personally, rape scene or no rape scene, parents should not allow their kids to watch such shows, as they indoctrinate the impressionable minds with sanctimonious nonsense masquerading as tradition and values.
