Let the games begin |
Cricket World cup is here. And finally I have just started feeling that its around. By the way on Sunday Sony’s decision not to show the opening ceremony was a real dumb move on their part. I mean Ok I was not awake but many people were, and they were really disappointed by this stupid act by the broadcaster. I mean if you have got the rights show it, what’s the use of showing some real old movie when the World Cup is going to start.
From the day I wrote about the World Cup being Thanda and all , all I have seen on TV is just Cricket. The bets ones have been Pranoy Roy shows- one of them an interview with Dada at Eden Gardens and the other one presenting memoirs of the game with Imran Khan and Dean Jones in it. Also Caribbean Special Shaz and Waz show on ESPNSTAR was quite good.
Aaj Tak has gone Cricket Crazy with everything in evening slot dedicated to Caribbean, right from its Rum to its Sugarcane Farms to Betting and also Cricket. So have most of the news channels.
One needs to forget everything now, today from 5PM catch on with live action at Set Max (its already 5, wonder what Mandira would be wearing today).
May the best team i.e. India win, and more importantly may it be a good entertaining World Cup for the TV Junta.
